Sorry, the pool is closed

What are your initial feelings when you see a sign like this? I suppose it depends if you fancied a swim or not. Frustration, disappointment, annoyance, upset, sadness? The list could go on. If you're like me you'll be getting pretty used to change and good at dealing with the disappointment and uncertainty of the current times.

Part of the beauty of life, I think, is the inevitability of change. The seasons, the weather, my waistline after lockdown. Accepting that nothing stays the same is an important step to successfully navigating the modern world.

That's all well and good but it doesn't help me when I've promised my twin girls that we could go swimming and the pool is now closed. What to do? Best find another pool I guess!
