GiftRound and Mangopay strengthen partnership to offer cutting edge payment experience for online group gifting

Specialist group gift collection platform GiftRound, will build on their partnership with Mangopay, tapping into their modular payment infrastructure capabilities to offer a seamless payment experience for users.

GiftRound, the specialist platform for group gift collection announces their strengthened partnership with Mangopay, platform-specific payment infrastructure provider, to process all of  the platform's payment flows. This partnership began in 2018 at GiftRound’s inception, who so far has processed over £10.5M via more than 75,000 money pots using Mangopay.

GiftRound provides a secure, reliable and easy to use, online service that helps people collect money for group gifts. GiftRound’s purpose is to bring people together to celebrate and reignite the joy of group gift giving for the collection organiser, the contributor and the recipient. Currently, there are more than 800 000 users for 125 GiftRounds created daily.

Managing payment flows is at the core of GiftRound’s offering. The company needed a robust payment provider to process complex payment flows. Mangopay’s expertise and capabilities were a perfect match to manage this, bringing a long track record of working with platform specific businesses including crowdfunding companies. With Mangopay’s API, GiftRound can ensure the security of money collection, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering, all of which are vital for GiftRound. Mangopay also provides KYC processes alongside secure and diverse payment methods.

Now, GiftRound will also utilise Mangopay’s e-wallet modular technology, adding a further layer of protection and security ahead of the dispersing of funds to the end receiver. This functionality will provide flexible and scalable pay-in and pay-out capabilities which are critical for the platform and GiftRound’s promise to provide reliable and smooth payment experiences to customers.
